But, It always looks cuter on those tiny models. Oh, well its kinda fun for now and I love to experiment with a new cut.

A tender Conversation

Chelsea was drawing a picture today and wanted me to help her write the name of who she was going to give it to. As we have done many times I asked her, "Chelsea, who are you going to give this to?" She said, Grandma Carver. "I said you mean Grandma Frederiksen." She said no, mom Im giving it to Grandma Carver. By now my eyes were welling up with tears because of the sweet innocence of my daughter who does not fully understand the world we live in. I asked her how she was going to give it to Grandma. With surety she replied, Im going to give it to "Bob" and then when grandma comes back down from Heaven he will give it to her. I was really getting watery now and thought of what innocence my little Chelsea beholds. It was hard to tell her that Grandma wont' be coming back down again. I continued to tell her "maybe she could talk to us in our dreams or maybe we could see her spirit but her body won't be back on earth for a long time. "For like 1 year, she said." Yes, she cant come back for Christmas or for your birthday or anything.
Chelsea was pretty sad as she understood a little more about life. I hope that I can continue to teach her all about my mom so that she never forgets her and her life. Its these tender momments that come to us when we just slow down a little and L i s t e n to our children as they talk to us.

General Conference Talks

I thought this year would be a great listening year for conference. I had workbooks for the older kids to keep them busy but it was Davis that gave me trouble. He wanted to be involved and kept messing up their "stuff". Every time I got into a good talk, I would get interupted by crying and mishap. So this was my notetaking so I can look up the talk and study it later. I really felt like there was so many talks that I related to in what I am going through. I usually don't tear up during conferece but this year was different. I feel closer to the spirit than I ever have and Im trying hard to do what my mother. I want to make her proud and smile down on me and say. "Thats my girl!"

Sat Morn.

Matsmori-She listed ways to be a missionary. How to reach out to your friends. I thought of my mom and what an example she was.

Niel Anderson "We come to know what we already knew"

Dieter F Uchtdorf **HOPE** Shared story of his mom escaping during WWII. Train was gone. Great talk!!

Dallin H. Oaks- **Sacrament** How to prepare yourself. What to wear. Very blunt and to the point.

Sat. Afternoon

Jeffrey R. Holland- Talked about Immortal and Mortal Angels coming to visit those in need. Story of boy lost crossing stream.

Pres. Monson closing talk

Bednar- **Prayer** 4 Ways to Improve Prayer
Shared experience about Wife and family praying in presence of general Authority just soon after a dear friend passed away. His advice was "ask for nothing, just give thanks." I can relate to that experience and ive tried to pray for that exact thing. I thank thee for the Plan of Salvation, for a great mother with integrity, for the time I had with her, for my family and the support they give me, for my dad that he can feel love and comfort from his family...dangit Im crying again...
I just really enjoyed conference and am looking forward to studing these talks.

SPINNING!

i have been SPINNING lately and it is quite fun. After you get over jello-ee legs and a sore butt then its a pretty good workout. I like how you can adjust the tension to your own speed yet still follow the instructor. Random thought..I thought that the U2 song "Where the streets have no name" would be a fun speed song. Its really fast and makes you want to fly.
