Inspired

I was checking out Hilary Weeks website. This was post she made back in December
4th of 2007. Heavenly Father really knows us and what we need. He uses other people as tools to help us. I feel like giving Hilary Weeks a hug if I could and telling her thank you but maybe its Heavenly Father who I really need to thank...

Hello!

I hope you are having a great week! I thought you might be interested in an update of the new songs I’ve been working on. I am a slow writer, so I always start at least a year in advance on my writing. And with this new cd I decided I want to write double the number of songs required allowing us to choose from the best songs. So, for me, it is a lofty goal, but one that with the Lord’s help I know is attainable.

I set a goal to write four songs in the month of November. I came pretty close - I wrote three. I really felt the hand of the Lord in my writing and I’m grateful for the inspiration. I just simply couldn’t do it without help from Heaven. One if the songs is a “funny” song for next year. (Similar to “My Favorite Things”.) The other two are “real” songs! One is called “If I Only Had Today” and the other one is “Just Let Me Cry.” I really love them both and CAN’T WAIT to share them with you.

The more experience I gain in writing, the more I am able to recognize when Heavenly Father is helping and inspiring me. I felt and heard His inspiration on these songs - they are much better than I could ever write on my own. I feel like they were written by Heaven and I was just there to take notes and put it on paper. I am truly so excited to share them with you!

May Heaven bless you in your pursuits. Blog to you soon!

Sherri,

My friend sent me a link to your blog. I too am dealing with the loss of my mom to cancer. Septemper was my first whole month without her. I miss her every day.

I appreciate your testimony and your willingness to share such raw and real emotions.
