"I do not like green
eggs and ham! I do not
like them, Sam-I-am. You do not
like them. So you say. Try them!
Try them! And you may. Try them and
you may, I say. Sam! If you let me be
I will try them. You will see.
Say!
I like green eggs and ham!
I do! I like them, Sam-I-am!
And I would eat them in a boat.
And I would eat them with a goat.
And I will eat them in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so good, so good, you see!

It's really happening...I am learning that running isn't so bad. I'm actually liking it. I feel like I can relate to Dr. Suess's Green Eggs and Ham.
I really can relate to this story because I've always told myself that I can't run and that I don't like to. Running used to be a punishment for me in playing sports growing up. When we lost, we ran! When we screwed up, we ran! To condition for the new season, we ran! Friends were puking, then back to running. It just didn't make sense to me and I learned to HATE it and just couldn't see how people could jog/run for fun on the beach, on a sunny day, etc. It has been my fear far to long and I'm conquering now with a 5K run just before my 30 birthday.
But... I wasn't trying it with the right mindset. Being consistant and running 3-4 times per week really pays off and allows your body to gradually improve.
It feels great to be actually doing something that I've feared my whole life. Bring on the 3 mile run. I can take it!
Say! I like green eggs and Ham. I do like them, Sam-I-am!
